The ConSIG establishes working groups which focus on a specific area related to quality or an objective to help improvement in the construction industry.  We currently have two operating working groups:

Competency Working Group

Our Competency Working Group focuses on improving competence with respect to quality and improvement.  This includes publishing articles on Designing Buildings Wiki about construction quality topics which have received over 50,000 hits.  We have also developed an awareness training framework for non-quality professionals.

Construction Quality Professional Training

We have developed a training syllabus in conjunction with the CQI for construction quality professionals.  The course includes standard CQI modules in additional to a two day module focussed on aspects specific to construction quality.

Cost of Quality Working Group

Our Cost of Quality working group is researching the costs of quality failures post completion.  Further information can be found here.
