DESCRIPTION:The CQI Milton Keynes branch is pleased to invite you to its World Quality Dayevent.\nDescription:\nThe Construction Special Interest Group of the CQI will present aspects of how collaboration\, in the context of the construction industry\, can enhance quality and generate value in construction.\nThis topic relates to all four aspects of the CQI Competency Framework – demonstrating how Leadership\, Governance\, Assurance and Improvement are vital in ensuring that ‘value’ is defined for each stakeholder and that an effective culture and system are established to ensure and assure that stakeholder requirements are met\, and that the value of the construction endeavour\, for each stakeholder\, is continually improved.\nAttendees will gain an insight into the personal experiences and lessons learned by those involved in implementing collaborative initiatives.\nBetween the two presentations the Milton Keynes branch will facilitate group discussions on the World Quality Day theme for 2018 – Quality: A question of trust.\nTo attend this event please register via our Eventbrite page\nSpeakers:\nThe topic will be introduced by Paul Greenwood\, a Constructing Excellence Collaborative Working Champion\, Associate Director of the Institute for Collaborative Working and Convener of ISO TC 286 (developing the ISO 44001 series of standards for Collaborative Business Relationships). Paul will provide a brief overview of collaboration\, key concepts\, models in common use and sources of info.\nGreg Faria\, Quality Manager for the Airside / Landside Directorate at Heathrow Airport\, will share experiences of collaboration initiatives with Programme Designers and Delivery Integrators as well as 2nd Tier Suppliers from the client’s perspective.\nThis will provide a broad overview across different levels of the aspects\, benefits and challenges faced in instigating a collaborative approach in the construction sector.\nEvent Details:\nDate: Thursday 8 November\nStart: Refreshments and networking from 18:30.
